OHDSI HSIG

Health Systems Interest Group

Welcome to OHDSI Health Systems Interest Group

The Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (or OHDSI, pronounced “Odyssey”) program is a multi-stakeholder, interdisciplinary collaborative to bring out the value of health data through large-scale analytics. All our solutions are open-source.

OHDSI’s mission - To improve health by empowering a community to collaboratively generate the evidence that promotes better health decisions and better care.

Healthcare Systems Interest Group mission - To help each other and learn from experience. Our group mainly supports health systems, hospitals, and others who have electronic health record (EHR) data on their OHDSI journey to produce reliable, reproducible evidence.

The Health Systems group meets the first Monday of the month at 10am Eastern Time. See Get Involved for the meeting link and other ways to connect with the community.

Getting Started

Please join us on the Health Systems Interest Group meeting the first Monday of the month at 10am Eastern Time.

The call will be focused on helping those new to the OHDSI community get started with the OMOP CDM. Please bring any and all questions related to OHDSI, OMOP CDM, observational health data, and research.

See Get Involved for the meeting link and other ways to connect with the community.

New to ETLing your data to the OMOP CDM?

If you’re just starting out, ETL & Mapping Guidance walks through what ETL to the OMOP CDM involves, EHR-specific extraction guidance, terminology/vocabulary mapping, and the data governance responsibilities that come with handling clinical data.
